Minecraft's next two updates feature bags, a terrifying biome and an unsettling creature

Minecraft Live 2024 marked a major turning point for Mojang Studios, with notable changes to the pace of updates and the permanent removal of mob voting, an often controversial topic. Mojang presented its new update strategy with more frequent, but smaller updates. This new format will also include bi-annual Minecraft Live events, each of which will introduce new content to the Minecraft universe. Below is a summary of the main announcements for this edition.

As with every major event, the main announcement concerns the upcoming major updates, also called Game Drops. Mojang Studios has lifted the veil on the first of these, titled "Bundles of Bravery", a more modest update that will arrive just in time for Halloween and promises new mechanics and new challenges for players.

The game will feature a lot of haunting and creatures straight out of a nightmare.

Update / Release: "Bundles of Bravery".

The first update, called Bundles of Bravery, will arrive just in time for the Halloween season and will bring several new features that the community was eagerly awaiting.

• Unconditional mode in Bedrock Edition: initially exclusive to the Java version, the unconditional mode, where death is permanent, will finally appear in the Bedrock version. This mode, which leaves no margin for error, will become the ultimate challenge for the most experienced players.
• Packs: The long-awaited packs (or bags) will finally be introduced. These objects, which allow you to store items in your inventory, such as portable mini-chests, will be made of leather and spider webs. In addition, players will be able to customize the color of their packs, which will make it easier to organize their inventory.

Update / Release: Pale and Rustling Garden

Another update, whose official name has not yet been revealed, will expand the terrifying atmosphere established by Bundles of Bravery. Scheduled for the coming months, it will introduce a new mysterious biome, the PaleGarden, as well as a terrifying mob: The Creaking.

• The Pale Garden: this biome, described as a silent and desaturated forest, is composed of ghostly trees called Pale Oak, covered with pale moss and moss carpets. During the day, this place seems quiet and isolated. But at night, the atmosphere changes radically with sinister noises that reinforce this oppressive atmosphere.
• The Creaking: This new hostile mob blends perfectly into the Pale Garden setting, camouflaging itself among the trees. Its unique behavior distinguishes it from other creatures in the game: it only moves when the player looks away. Moreover, it is impossible to eliminate it directly. To defeat it, you will have to locate and destroy a squeaky heart, a special block hidden in the treetops, which controls the mob. The task will not be easy, as these creatures advance rapidly as soon as the player stops looking at them.

New building materials.

Pale oak woodcan be extracted from to obtain a new set of almost white wood, perfect for construction. In addition to wood, players will also be able to collect decorative elements such as HangingMoss and Pale Moss Mat, providing new aesthetic possibilities for their creations.
