Major new features in the 24w34a snapshot

■ Packs: packs have been updated with a new three-line tooltip, providing better visibility and control of the items they contain.

■ Wagons: significant improvements to wagon behavior, including improved handling on slopes and collision fixes, for more accurate and realistic travel.

■ Redstone: a new Redstone chain upgrade order, providing more predictable activation and eliminating most random behavior.

■ Bug Fixes: an extensive set of bug fixes, including crash fixes, texture improvements, and item and mob interaction adjustments.

Experimental Changes

The following changes only apply when the corresponding experiments are activated, either by activating the Experiments package or through the Experiments screen when creating a world.

Bundle Improvements

■ The Bundle/Bagtooltip can now display three rows, allowing you to see at least eight item types.

■ Developer Note: items fill bags in rows of four. When a row is filled, it is moved down the side of the top row, which can leave empty spaces at the top. This change improves readability and organization of items in sets, avoiding the random movement of items that some players find confusing.

Wagonette Improvements

■ Wagonettes are no longer fixed in the center of the block when landing on the rail, but are now aligned diagonally at the corners and attached after being pushed by a piston. This allows for more complex designs such as piston bolts.

■ Dispensers can once again stack wagons, and they are now immediately placed with the correct rotation on the rails, even on slopes.

■ Wagonettes no longer cross blocks when traveling up or down a slope; they now collide with those blocks correctly, increasing the accuracy of the interaction.

Redstone

■ Redstonethread updates now have a left shift when a fork is equidistant, which removes much of the random behavior. Situations where a wire is fed from above or below without sufficient context can still have random behavior.

■ Developer Note: removing excessive updates from wire neighbors affects the behavior of quasi-connection based mechanisms. Adjustments will be made to these mechanisms at a later date.

General changes

Regardless of the experimental features included, several changes have been made to the base game:

■ Projectiles such as arrows, tridents, and fishing floats now bounce off the edge of the world if hit.

■ The refresh rate has been improved when using long rendering distances.

■ The performance impact of camera rotation has been significantly reduced.

■ The recipe book now repeats the last selected recipe when the "selected" key is pressed.

■ In creative mode, items that transform after use, such as a vial of honey that turns into a bubble,are no longer automaticallytransformed .

Technical changes

■ Data Pack version is now 50.

■ The Resource Pack version is now 36.

Version 50 of the Data Pack

■ Modified object components: componentminecraft:foodis now a data container that no longer manages the consumption of an object; this feature is now supported by the new componentminecraft:consumable.

■ New item components: components have been added such asminecraft:use_remainderand , which allow you to manage item remainders after use and enter recovery times for certain item types.minecraft:use_cooldown

Resource Pack version 36

■ Theshaderconfigurations of and post-processing effects have been merged to improve resource efficiency and flexibility. Developers have added new parameters such as preprocessor directives defined for shaders, while limiting support for internal shader modifications to resource packages.
