Mod: Armour with elytra [1.21; 26+]

The Armored Elytra mod adds the long-awaited ability to combine elytra with any armor in Minecraft PE (Bedrock). Now you can craft a hybrid item that retains all the protective properties of chest armor and allows you to soar through the skies.

This is the perfect solution for survival, where you often have to sacrifice armor for mobility. In Minecraft PE (Bedrock), this mechanic is implemented with balance in mind: flying consumes armor durability, and using expensive materials such as nizerite allows you to fly longer without repair.

Features of the Armor with Eliters mod

In the new version 2.0, the developer has completely redesigned the system, adding support for enchantments. Now you can apply enchantments such as "Protection," "Spikes," "Durability," and "Repair" to your armored elytra, and they will work correctly.

It is important to note that the mod does not edit the player.json file, which ensures maximum compatibility with other add-ons. However, there is a minor visual issue: during flight, the armor texture temporarily disappears due to limitations of the Minecraft PE (Bedrock) engine, but the protection and effects remain active.

How it works and crafting

To obtain new elytra, simply combine regular elytra with any chestplate (chainmail, iron, gold, diamond, or nezirite) in a workbench. Warning: crafting creates a completely new item, so do not use pre-enchanted breastplates, otherwise the enchantments will be lost!

Apply enchantments to ready-made armored elytra using an anvil or enchanting table. To take off in Minecraft PE (Bedrock), it is recommended to jump from a height of at least 2 blocks so that the script has time to activate the wings.

Compatibility and spells

The mod works great with texture packs: if you have a resource pack installed that changes the appearance of diamond armor, your diamond elytra will automatically take on that appearance. The durability system is also balanced: flying now consumes the item's durability as if you were taking damage, but the "Durability III" enchantment will significantly extend your flight time. For the add-on to work correctly, be sure to enable "Beta APIs" in the Minecraft PE (Bedrock) world settings.
