The Spears of Mayhem mod for Minecraft PE (Bedrock) brings spears from the Java snapshot "Mounts of Mayhem" to the stable version of Bedrock Edition. This add-on adds seven types of spears — from wooden to nezirite — each with unique characteristics and two types of attacks for varied combat tactics.

Features of the Spears mod

This mod was created in response to numerous requests from players following the success of the previous mod, "Nautilus of Mayhem." The spears are designed to replicate the mechanics from the first Java snapshot as closely as possible, taking into account the limitations of the Bedrock engine. The latest version includes full compatibility with achievements, added support for Vibrant Visuals for beautiful visual effects, increased attack range, and improved ability to hit multiple enemies simultaneously with a charged attack in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

Attack types and combat mechanics

Spears introduce a completely new style of melee combat to the game, based on distance, speed, and the tactical use of two different types of attacks.

Stab: quick attack

The basic spear attack is a thrust that is performed by simply pressing the attack button. The thrust is fast and has a longer range than a sword, allowing you to keep enemies at a distance and control the space around you. This is the ideal attack for putting constant pressure on your opponent and for situations where you need to deliver several quick strikes in a row in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

Charged Attack: Powerful Dash

The second attack is a charged strike that is activated by holding down the attack button. The longer you hold it down, the more powerful the strike will be. The damage from this attack directly depends on your speed relative to the target—the faster you move, the more damage you will deal. This makes the charged attack particularly deadly when used while riding a horse or other mount. A charged attack can hit multiple creatures in its path in a single tick, with a 10-tick interval between repeated hits on a single target.

Visual charging stages

While holding down the attack button, the spear goes through three visual stages: "Ready," "Tired," and "Released." Each stage affects parameters such as knockback power and the chance of knocking a rider off their mount. This system adds tactical depth, forcing players to choose the right moment to strike depending on the situation in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

Types of copies and their characteristics

The add-on adds seven different copies, each of which corresponds to a specific level of materials and has its own strength and damage indicators.

From tree to nezirit

You will have access to spears of all basic levels: wooden, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond, and nezirite. As with other weapons, rarer materials provide greater durability and inflict more damage. The nezirite spear is the most powerful weapon in the arsenal and can destroy most enemies with a couple of well-aimed strikes, especially when using a charged attack at high speed.
