Mod: Ender World Update [1.21+]

The Abyssal Ascent mod for Minecraft PE (Bedrock) is an unofficial yet incredibly large-scale “End Update” that transforms the barren final dimension into a vast world full of exploration opportunities. Forget about boring End Stone islands! Now you’ll find a multi-layered dimension with unique biomes — from forests with edible trees to astrally infected wastelands — along with new enemies, bosses, cities, and an enormous amount of new weapons and armor.

Features of the End World Update Mod

This mod is one of the largest and most detailed End expansions ever created by the community. It doesn’t require experimental settings to be enabled, allowing players to keep achievements active. However, due to the abundance of new structures and effects, it’s recommended to play with a render distance of no more than 15 chunks.

The addon introduces new weapon types (greatswords and war hammers), new ores (sapphire, molybdenum, enduranium), and completely new mechanics, such as flying creature mounts and trading with the Dragonfolk in the Minecraft PE (Bedrock) world.

Structure of the New End: Layers and Biomes

The End dimension is now divided into three vertical layers, each with its own unique characteristics, resources, and biomes in Minecraft PE (Bedrock). This structure makes exploration more immersive and diverse.

Three-Layer System

The lowest layer — the Void Depth — is a dangerous zone filled with thick fog and a new ore called “Ascendant.” The middle level — the Regular End Layer — contains most of the content: biomes, mobs, and ores. The top level — the Cloud Layer — is the main source of sapphire ore, consisting of floating cloud blocks and plants.

Vibrant and Unusual Biomes

The End now features new forests: Endra Forest and the Twisted Forest, each with its own unique wood type. A highlight is the Chorus Grove, where trees are made from edible chorus sticks. You’ll also find Lavender Fields, where you can grow ender crops, and the Wild Endlands with golden plants and ender sand.

Dangerous and Infected Zones

Prepare for serious challenges! The Arkoza Peaks are mountain ranges made of a new type of stone inhabited by dangerous skeletons. The Bottomless Swamp is a great place for fishing with unique loot. But the most terrifying area is the Astral Infection — a cosmic-themed biome filled with extremely dangerous mobs and a hidden mini-boss.

New Enemies and Allies: Mobs and Bosses

The End dimension is now populated with numerous new creatures — both hostile and friendly — and at its core await powerful bosses unique to Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

New Inhabitants of the End

During your journeys, you’ll encounter both enemies and potential allies. Among the latter are the Dragonfolk, who can trade with you, and Ewupuls — passive flying creatures you can ride. Most of the new mobs, however, are hostile: Blastlings that fire purple projectiles, Snarlings that immobilize you with webs, and ultra-fast Watchlings from Minecraft Dungeons.

Powerful Structure Guardians

Many new structures are protected by unique guardians. Dragonfolk Cities are defended by the Dragonfolk themselves, their enhanced Brutes, and Elytra Warriors who will attack if provoked. In the End Fortresses, you can now encounter Final Skeletons that shoot Ender Pearls, while in the Astral Infection biome you’ll face fast Astral Assassins and teleporting Astral Orbiters.

Final Challenges: End Bosses

The mod adds two new bosses. In the Astral Infection biome, you can encounter the Astral Golem, which attacks using monolith projectiles and drops a staff with the same ability upon defeat. The main boss is Gernus, the Father of the Void, who can be summoned in a special church. He’s an incredibly strong opponent with a wide range of unique attacks — defeating him rewards you with a crafting template for the most powerful gear in the mod.

New Equipment and Treasures

To survive in the new End of Minecraft PE (Bedrock), you’ll need powerful gear. The mod introduces dozens of new armor sets, weapons, and useful artifacts.

Explorer’s Arsenal: Weapons and Armor

In addition to standard weapons, the mod introduces Greatswords with sweeping attacks and War Hammers that create shockwaves. You can craft armor sets from Sapphire, Molybdenum, Enduranium (a Netherite-like material mined using beds), Dragonite, and Ascendant ore. Each set has unique properties and is crafted using special templates found in new structures.

Unique Artifacts and Useful Items

Exploration will reward you with unique treasures. The End Mirror allows instant teleportation back to the main End island. The Void Pendant clears the thick fog in the lower layer. The Calibrated Ender Pearl can be upgraded with crystals to gain special effects like zero-gravity flight or boosted speed. Meanwhile, Ewupul Gliders let you ascend simply by looking toward the sky.

Grand Structures and Their Treasures

The End is now filled with new dungeons. End Chambers act as Trial Hall equivalents with two difficulty tiers and keys for treasure vaults. Dragonfolk Cities are massive structures packed with loot but heavily guarded. In Dragon Bastions, you can even find and tame a baby Ender Dragon. Finally, the Soulforge of the Void contains a special crafting station for creating advanced equipment.
