Features of the Offline Players Mod

This mod introduces a complex artificial intelligence system that brings “Echoes” — digital imprints of players — into your world. They can learn and perform various tasks, making single-player survival more lively and engaging. These NPCs follow the day–night cycle, seek shelter after sunset, and interact with the environment. To make the mod work properly, enable the experimental “Beta APIs” option in your Minecraft PE (Bedrock) world settings.

Creating and Managing “Echoes”

To populate your world with “offline players,” you’ll need to go through several steps. The process begins with obtaining a player’s head, which serves as the “matrix” for creating a new NPC.

Cursed Helmet and Player Head

First, craft the Cursed Helmet. If a player (or you) dies while wearing it, their head will drop upon death. This head is the key item used to create a new “Echo” in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

Player Summoner

Next, craft a special block called the Player Summoner. Place the obtained head inside, and after a short while, a new NPC with the matching skin will appear in your world — ready for adventure.

Professions and Tasks

You can assign different jobs to your “Echo Players” simply by giving them the appropriate tools. They’ll automatically find work and contribute to your world in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

Lumberjack

Give an NPC an axe, and they’ll become a lumberjack. They’ll chop down nearby trees, collect wood, and — most importantly — replant new saplings in their place, maintaining the forest balance in your Minecraft PE (Bedrock) world.

Miner

Equip an “Echo” with a pickaxe to turn them into a miner. They’ll head underground, dig tunnels, and collect coal, iron, and other valuable ores, neatly storing everything in their inventory.

Farmer

Give your NPC a hoe, and they’ll take on the role of a farmer. They’ll tend to your crops, harvest ripe plants, and replant seeds — ensuring a steady food supply for your base.

Advanced Interaction and Daily Life

“Echo Players” are far from simple robots — they have advanced behavior models that make them act surprisingly human-like.

Hunter and Defender

Hand an “Echo” a sword, and they’ll become a hunter or a defender. They’ll hunt animals to gather food or protect a designated area from hostile mobs that spawn at night in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

Building and Sleeping

When night falls, your companions won’t wander aimlessly in the dark. They’ll try to find or even build a simple shelter to stay safe. And if there’s an available bed nearby, they’ll go to sleep — just like real players in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).
