Minecraft Bedrock 1.22 | Chaos Riders Update

This is a new, major update for Minecraft Bedrock and Java! We will receive many new features that were demonstrated at Minecraft Live 2025, which took place on September 27, 2025: a new mob, the Nautilus; and a new weapon, the spear!

About the Minecraft 1.22 update

All the features and innovations that were presented at Minecraft Live 2025 will be gradually implemented into the game, starting next week. For the updates to function, please enable all experimental game processes before launching the world.

And the full update will be released in winter!

Nautilus

The new Nautilus mob in Minecraft will spawn in seas and oceans. You can tame it with pufferfish, put a saddle on it, and travel with it underwater. You can also use it to make an epic escape from underwater.

When you ride it, you will receive:

• Breathing underwater.
• You will be able to dig faster.

Armor

Armor for the nautilus will also be added to Minecraft.

Zombie Nautilus

Drowned people will ride on it. That's dangerous.

Spear

The new weapon—the spear in Minecraft—will deal damage based on your speed. The faster you run, the more damage you will deal.

Spear attack

You can use the spear while moving: on elites, on horses/camels, and even on a boat. You will need to activate the spear, then time it right and release it to attack. But if you hold it too long, the spear will drop down and do little damage... because the spear is heavy.

Zombie horses

Zombies can now spawn on zombie horses. They will carry spears in their hands.
