The Advanced Dynamic Lighting mod for Minecraft PE (Bedrock) is a comprehensive solution for working with torches and dynamic lighting. Mod features New animations

The mod works on all versions of Minecraft starting with 1.21.80 and requires Beta APIs to be enabled in the world settings. The main feature is dynamic lighting when holding a torch in your left hand, which creates a realistic effect of lighting the surrounding space without the need to constantly place blocks.

The quick item swap system allows you to instantly switch from a torch to another tool or weapon, which is especially useful in combat and exploration. The add-on does not interfere with normal right-hand actions such as eating, using tools, placing blocks, or attacking, ensuring seamless gameplay in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).

Torch placement system

Placing torches with the left hand works through a special mechanic that requires crouching and holding the screen (or right-clicking on a PC) while looking at the air in Minecraft PE (Bedrock). This system provides smooth and responsive placement on a wide range of blocks without conflicting with the main actions of the right hand.

Smart priority system

If you hold a torch in your left hand and food in your right hand and are hungry, the add-on will automatically prioritize eating food over placing the torch — just as it works in Java Edition. The system correctly handles all situations: mining resources with a pickaxe, fighting with a sword, placing blocks, and using any other items. The torch is only placed when the right hand is not performing any actions, which makes gameplay intuitive and convenient in Minecraft (Bedrock).

Support for various types of torches

The latest update has significantly expanded the mod's functionality, adding support for several types of torches and improving placement mechanics. Now the add-on works not only with regular torches, but also with copper torches, soul torches, and redstone torches.

Each type of torch retains its unique properties: soul torches give off a bluish glow, red torches activate redstone circuits, and copper torches provide standard lighting. The improved placement system has become even more accurate and responsive, allowing you to place torches on complex surfaces and in hard-to-reach places in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).
