  • The Blurry's Java PvP modification for Minecraft PE (Bedrock) completely overhauls the combat system, making it almost identical to the Java Edition. This addon introduces the famous attack cooldown, sweeping sword strikes, proper saturation mechanics, and many other small details, turning chaotic Bedrock battles into tactical duels.

Features of the Java PvP Mod

The main advantage of this addon is that it does not require experimental features to be enabled and does not use the player.json file, ensuring maximum compatibility with other mods and allowing achievements to remain active. All new mechanics can be finely tuned through a special configuration menu, which opens with the command /scriptevent bf:config. This lets players decide which Java features they want to bring into their Minecraft PE (Bedrock) world.

    Key Combat Mechanics

The modification introduces several fundamental changes to the combat system, making it more deliberate and less dependent on how fast you tap the screen.

    Attack Indicator and Cooldown

Just like in the Java Edition, after each weapon strike an attack indicator appears. To deal maximum damage, you need to wait until it fully recharges. This mechanic completely eliminates meaningless “click-spamming” and forces players to wait for the right moment to strike, making PvP in Minecraft PE (Bedrock) much more tactical.

    Sweeping Edge Attack

Swords now have a sweeping attack that allows you to damage multiple enemies in front of you at once. This is especially useful when fighting hordes of monsters or during large PvP battles, giving you better control over the combat field.

    Gameplay Improvements

In addition to the combat system, the addon brings many other small but important mechanics from the Java Edition that make the overall gameplay more comfortable and familiar for Java players.

    Knockback and Saturation

Now sprinting attacks knock back enemies exactly like in the Java version. The saturation system has also been completely reworked: food restores hunger more slowly but lasts longer, meaning you won’t have to stop as often to eat during long adventures in your Minecraft PE (Bedrock) world.

    Shields, Webs, and Projectiles

The mod fixes many small inconsistencies between the Bedrock and Java versions. Shield blocking no longer causes knockback, allowing for better defense. Cobwebs now slow movement just as much as in Java Edition, and all projectiles (arrows, tridents, etc.) now have proper flight physics.

    Settings and Important Notes

Despite being easy to install, the mod has several important nuances you should know before using it to avoid potential issues.

    Compatibility and Load Order

Although the addon does not use player.json, it may conflict with other mods that alter animations or player behavior. To ensure correct operation, make sure this resource pack is placed below similar addons in your Minecraft PE (Bedrock) world settings. This allows other mods to override its configurations if necessary.

    Deletion Warning

Important: since the mod adds custom weapon versions to implement new mechanics, removing the addon from your world will cause all swords and axes in your inventory and chests to disappear completely. Before installing it on your main world, make sure to create a backup and test the addon in a separate world first.
